Marketing

Historian, educator, and live wargames host Steven G. Johnson
self-published his four- book supernatural WW2 series.
Over a few years, the books didn't sell much, so he requested a marketing refresher. Immediately after a rewrite of the Amazon book descriptions and refreshing the keywords, the Amazon algorithm started spontaneously selling Operation Vampire, Book 1.

Animated Facebook ads sell more than ads that don't move, so Elaine Ash created one with eye-catching images from the cover artwork and ran it at a modest budget of $5 per day. Book 1 was featured at 99 cents. All four books immediately started selling along with paperbacks (which make more money than e-books.)

FACEBOOK , or Meta as it's now known, reports that Elaine's animated ads perform 35% better than similar books ads. Cost-per-click between .13 and .24 cents. almost doubles the cost-effectiveness of an advertising budget.
